Surplus framing timber — H1.2 treated studs, dwangs, plates, trusses and rafters for enclosed framing, and H3.2 for anything exterior or under the floor: bearers, joists, fascia and pergola stock. Over-ordered packs of 90x45 are the single most common leftover on a New Zealand building site, and the short lengths that are useless to a builder are perfect for a deck, a shed or a retaining wall.
